Piper Companies is seeking a talented and experienced Research & Development Manager to support a biotechnology organization specializing in transplantable human organs in the Eden Prairie, MN area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working with large scale production in a GMP environment.
Responsibilities of the R&D Manager:
Oversee and lead a team of R&D Technicians in the design, execution and optimization of cell production processes
Work collaboratively with R&D upstream and other internal teams to create and implement large-scale cell culture processes
Manage all equipment, material schedules and logistics for cell culture activities
Lead PD (process development) to enhance and optimize large scale cell production methods for a GMP environment
Responsible for creation and optimization of cell culture protocols
Qualifications of the R&D Manager:
7 years of experience working in large scale manufacturing with 3 years of managerial experience in a GMP regulated environment supporting cell culture activities
Extensive experience in cell culture, large scale manufacturing, and tissue engineering
Exceptional leadership skills
Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, Cell Biology, Tissue Engineering or related field

Salary: Between $120,000 - $145,000 based on years of experience
